Midland Independent School District trustees reviewed and approved operational, academic and facilities-related items during the district’s May 2026 board meeting.
The board received updates tied to Midland ISD’s 2023 bond program, including construction planning, campus infrastructure and roadway extension projects associated with future school development in northwest Midland. Trustees also reviewed reports related to staffing, enrollment, academics and financial planning for the upcoming school year.
Midland ISD recognized students, staff members and campuses for academic, extracurricular and career-related achievements during the meeting.

- Approved instructional materials for Social Studies K-11

- Approved instructional materials for Algebra II
- Approved the 2026–2027 District Improvement Plan
- Did not approve the 2026–2027 Midland ISD Compensation Manual
- Approved the establishment of an Ad Hoc Committee for the development of School Board operating procedures
- Announced the next regular board meeting for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at Bowie Fine Arts Academy
