Midland will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary during the 2026 Star-Spangled Salute on July 4 in downtown Midland, according to information shared by the Midland Chamber of Commerce.

The 2026 event will coincide with the national America 250 celebration recognizing the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Sponsors and community partners, including ExxonMobil, will support the free downtown event, organizers stated in a recent announcement.

Midland’s Independence Day celebrations have remained a community tradition for decades. The annual Children’s Parade has been part of the celebration for more than 60 years, with the 2026 parade marking its 63rd year, according to Midland Chamber event information.

Fireworks, live entertainment, food vendors and family activities are planned as part of the Star-Spangled Salute celebration. The Midland Chamber states the event is the largest single-day annual event held in Midland County.

Organizers stated community volunteers, sponsors and local organizations continue playing a major role in supporting the annual event.
