Whiskers and Tails Rescue introduced several newborn rescue puppies as this week’s Midland Times Pet of the Week featuere. They are seeking foster families and bottle feeders to help care for the animals.
According a Whiskers and Tails’ Facebook post, the puppies recently entered rescue care and require bottle feeding every two to four hours due to their age and medical needs.
Rescue officials said the puppies must be fostered in pairs. The organization will provide supplies, training and support for approved bottle feeders.
The puppies are being cared for in foster homes while continuing to grow and receive medical support, according to the Facebook post.
Whiskers and Tails marked its first year of operations earlier this year after rescuing and transferring hundreds of animals throughout West Texas.
Whiskers and Tails also recently assumed operations connected to the Don’t Litter Affordable Spay & Neuter Clinic in Big Spring to reduce pet overpopulation.
The organization works with foster families, volunteers and shelter partners across the Permian Basin to assist animals facing overcrowding, abandonment and medical concerns.
Rescue officials said community members can also support rescue efforts through monetary donations, pet supplies, volunteer support and foster care.
