Navigate Forward, a program of the West Texas Food Bank, and joined by My Second Bloom, will host a Mental Health and Wellness Workshop on Saturday, May 30, in Midland.
The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at 1601 Westcliff Drive. Organizers said the event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, testimonials, interactive workshops and mental health and wellness tools designed to help individuals navigate stress, recovery and life transitions.
The speakers, facilitators and testimonials will include individuals such as Robert Segura of the Permian Basin Society for Human Resource Management; teacher and coach Aaron Thomas; Angelina Mojica, a certified family life educator involved in children’s ministry from outside West Texas; and Matthew Santana, a local business owner and associate pastor at Church in the Hood.
The workshop will also include training sessions and discussions facilitated by local nonprofit organizations and area leaders in West Texas.
Topics will include mental health in employment, stress management, resilience, recovery and overall wellness.
The event is now sold out, according to Megan Cardenas with My Second Bloom.
