Agencies interested in receiving funding from the City of Midland for the 2026-2027 fiscal year can apply until March 20, 2026. The city allocates funds annually to support tourism, hotel industry promotion, city growth and development, and other activities that extend city services.
More than twenty agencies currently benefit from this funding process. Past recipients include the Arts Council of Midland, VisitMidland, Midland College’s Business and Economic Development Center, Teen Court, and Permian Basin Community Centers of Midland.
Applications are being accepted for events scheduled between October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2027. Eligible events must show proof of at least three years of hotel room nights; new events do not qualify. Requests related to hotel/motel or city development funding will be reviewed by a citizen advisory board.
For more information or to obtain an application, agencies can contact Marcia Bentley-German at [email protected] or call 432-685-7430.
