Bynum School is seeking to hire additional staff for its preschool program.

The school said the expansion of its preschool program has created a need for more personnel. The organization serves students with special needs and is located at 5100 Avalon Dr. According to a Facebook post by Bynum School, “At our faith-based, nonprofit school for individuals with special needs, you will make a meaningful impact every single day… If you are compassionate, dedicated and ready to celebrate student success, we would love to hear from you.”

According to information provided on the school’s website, candidates interested in the position must have experience in special education or a related field. Additional requirements include the ability to lift and position students and work cooperatively with other staff members. Applicants must also possess a high school diploma or GED according to Bynum’s career opportunities page.

Ten weeks of paid time off, small class sizes and paid employee medical insurance are among the benefits offered for these positions according to Bynum’s Facebook post.

Interested individuals are encouraged to visit the school’s website to apply or learn more about the job. Bynum School was founded in the early 1980s by three families seeking better educational opportunities for their children with special needs after consulting Kay Bynum, after whom the school is named. Initially known as the Developmental Disabilities Center, it adopted its current name in 1992 following a certificate of amendment issued by the state of Texas according to Bynum’s history page.
