Centers for Children and Families will host its annual Centers Stage event May 9 at the Bush Convention Center, featuring NFL safety Damar Hamlin, according to Hunter Haynie with Centers.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. It will include a live auction, silent auction, raffle, paddle raise and other fundraising activities. Proceeds will support Centers’ counseling, education and support services for individuals and families.
Hamlin, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, is known for his recovery after suffering cardiac arrest during an NFL game in 2023. He has since become an advocate for health awareness and community support initiatives.
Centers Stage intends to support access to mental health services and provide resources for individuals managing life challenges, according to Haynie.
“This event brings the community together to support mental health services and ensure people have access to the resources they need,” Haynie said.
The event will also recognize several individuals, including Mark Palmer, who will serve as honorary chair, along with The Honorable Tom and Nadine Craddick and Terry Wilkinson, according to event materials.
Presenting sponsors for the event are ConocoPhillips and The Anwar Family. Sponsorship opportunities remain available, with multiple levels and underwriting options offered, according to Centers.
Individual tickets and sponsorships may be purchased through the event registration platform.
