Christi Craddick, a Texas public official and candidate for Comptroller, used her social media platform in mid-October 2025 to outline her fiscal policy positions and campaign priorities.

On October 16, 2025, Craddick addressed healthcare costs and government intervention. She wrote, “Texans already pay too much for healthcare. Government shouldn’t make it harder to see a doctor or more expensive to get care.

As Comptroller, I’ll fight mandates and wasteful spending that drive up costs, and keep the focus on taxpayers.”

Continuing her message on government spending, Craddick posted again on October 17, 2025: “When government grows, so do the costs for working families. Healthcare is no exception.

As Comptroller, I’ll cut waste, work to stop mandates that raise prices, and make sure your tax dollars work for you, not against you.”

Later that day, she shared details of a recent meeting with local conservatives: “I had a great time with the Robertson Ranch Conservatives in Denton this week.

We talked about what real conservative leadership looks like: shrinking government, protecting taxpayers, and making sure every dollar reflects Texas values.

I’m looking forward to keeping Texas red https://t.co/AafccVZOtI

Craddick’s statements reflect ongoing debates within Texas politics regarding healthcare costs and the size of government. The role of the state comptroller includes overseeing state finances and ensuring efficient use of taxpayer funds.
