Christi Craddick, a Texas public official and current member of the Texas Railroad Commission, outlined her approach to fiscal accountability and government efficiency in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) between November 6 and November 7, 2025. In these statements, Craddick emphasized her priorities if elected as Texas Comptroller.
On November 6, 2025, Craddick wrote: “Texas government should never spend a dollar without accountability. Every tax dollar represents the hard work of Texas families and small businesses, and they deserve to see it respected.
As Comptroller, I’ll audit every agency and cut the waste that drains confidence in”.
The following day, she addressed issues related to tax refunds: “Every time government delays a tax refund, it takes opportunity out of Texans’ hands. As Comptroller, I’ll make efficiency measurable; audits published, turnaround times tracked, results visible to everyone.”
Later on November 7, Craddick referenced her tenure at the Railroad Commission: “At the Railroad Commission, I proved results aren’t about promises, they’re about performance. We cut permit times from more than 90 days to just 48 hours and delivered record energy revenue that funded schools, roads, and law enforcement.
That’s the same results-driven”.
Craddick currently serves as one of three elected members of the Texas Railroad Commission. The commission is responsible for regulating the state’s oil and gas industry—a significant contributor to state revenues used for public services such as education and infrastructure. Her stated achievements include reducing permit processing times substantially during her tenure at the commission.
The role of Texas Comptroller involves overseeing state finances—including auditing agencies and managing tax collection—and ensuring transparency in how taxpayer money is spent.
