Christi Craddick, a current Texas Railroad Commissioner, shared a series of posts on her social media accounts on February 21 and 22, 2026, addressing her priorities and philosophy as a candidate for Texas Comptroller.
On February 21, Craddick stated, “Tax policy decisions have real consequences for local communities. When rebates and incentives aren’t tracked properly, taxpayers end up paying the price. As Comptroller, I’ll make sure these decisions are transparent, accountable, and grounded in real numbers.” Later that same day she added, “The Comptroller’s office should work for Texans, not bureaucrats. I’ll prioritize faster tax refunds, clear answers, and real customer service, because government exists to serve the people who fund it.”
In another post on February 22 she wrote about her guiding principles: “My faith teaches me that stewardship matters. Every dollar represents someone’s hard work, and it should be treated with respect and seriousness. That belief has guided my service as a conservative Republican, and it will guide me as Texas Comptroller.”
Craddick currently serves on the Texas Railroad Commission—an independent regulatory agency within the Texas state government responsible for overseeing oil field cleanup, groundwater monitoring, pipeline transportation safety, oil and gas conservation since 1931 expansion of its scope, and other energy-related activities across Texas. The Commission maintains district offices statewide to support field operations.
Her recent posts reflect an emphasis on transparency in fiscal management and direct public service through state agencies.
