Texas Governor Greg Abbott has recently posted a series of statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account, addressing issues ranging from national sentiment to local Austin politics and state migration.

On November 2, 2025, Abbott posted: “America wins”.

The following day, November 3, 2025, he criticized the Austin City Council with the statement: “Austin City Council members using your property tax dollars to give to political organizations. That should ALREADY be illegal. If not, we must make it illegal next session. In the meantime, if you live in Austin, go vote on Tuesday AGAINST Prop. Q — against raising your”.

Later that same day, Abbott commented on interstate migration with: “After the polls close tomorrow night, I will impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving to Texas from NYC.”
