Representatives from the Midland Chamber assisted in celebrating the grand opening of the Northwest YMCA facility, located at 5549 Avalon Dr., on October 15.
According to a congratulatory Facebook post dated October 24, the chamber held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. “We’re so excited to celebrate this amazing new space dedicated to strengthening our community through health, wellness, and connection,” said the chamber.
The first official day of business for the Northwest YMCA was notably busy as team members provided tours and answered questions from visitors. The day before, an open house event allowed attendees to view interactive demonstrations of its new wellness features.
Group exercise classes have commenced, while Parent’s Day Out & Parent’s Night Out are scheduled to begin in November. An on-site after-school program is planned for future implementation.
Additionally, the Northwest YMCA has announced it is offering IV therapy and wellness injections exclusively to its members as part of a collaboration with Simply. These injections, which require no appointments, are available on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Northwest YMCA operates from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays. It remains closed on Sundays.
