Representatives from the Midland Chamber participated in the Argentina-Texas Chamber of Commerce’s Bridging Argentina Texas Seminar, which was recently held in Midland.
According to a November 5 Facebook post shared by the chamber, the seminar brought together business and energy leaders from across Texas and Argentina “for a meaningful exchange on collaboration, innovation, and opportunities in the global energy landscape.”
Among the highlights for the chamber was Evan Thomas, its president and CEO, serving on Panel 1: “The Permian Blueprint: Building a Thriving Energy” with Ruth Hughes, Partner at Kelly Hart & Hallman; Casey Yates, Senior Director of Finance at Permian Strategic Partnership; Maria Suarez-Simmons, Vice President of Energy Policy at Energy Workforce & Technology Council; and Aaron Demerson, President and CEO of Texas Economic Development Corporation.
“We’re grateful for the opportunity to represent Midland and the Permian Basin in fostering international partnerships that drive growth and connection,” said the chamber.
The Argentina Texas Chamber of Commerce described the program on its website as more than a trade mission but “a gateway to strategic growth.”
“This bilateral initiative is designed to connect key players from both countries’ energy sectors through two high-impact stages,” it said. The first part was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in September to welcome an American delegation to the South American nation.
