Midland County Warrant Services provided a humorous take on what people could do for their former significant others on Valentine’s Day, which is next Saturday.
According to a Facebook post shared by the Midland County government on Thursday, the department is promoting a Valentine’s Day special aimed at apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants. The faux promotion humorously suggests that residents could “gift” their exes this offer on February 14.
The post outlines that the special includes free transportation, “a very special set of bracelets,” and “a complimentary photo,” alluding to the warrant execution process. Individuals with warrants who are arrested will be transported to the Midland County Central Detention Center and booked.
The promotion further mentions “secure accommodations” and “free dinner,” referring to detainees staying at the detention center until they can secure bail or bond.
Midland County Warrant Services is responsible for serving warrants across all four of Midland County’s justice courts for unpaid citations issued by local law enforcement agencies. The department comprises four full-time investigators, three clerks, a chief clerk, and the chief of warrant services.
Residents with active warrants are encouraged to contact the department at 432-688-4700, where they will be directed to the investigator handling their case.
