Midland Health Department reports January vaccination numbers and outreach activities

The Midland Health Department reported that it provided more than 662 vaccines to city and county residents in January. The department also served over 207 residents aged 18 and younger during the first month of 2026.

In addition to vaccination efforts, health officials conducted 137 inspections, made 36 patient referrals, and investigated 14 complaints. Of the patient referrals, 19 were for healthcare assistance, 11 for rent and clothing, with others numbering fewer than ten.

The department processed a total of 296 invoices and encountered one illegal food vendor during the month. Community outreach included participation in the Point In Time (PIT) Count Resource Fair on January 22, where staff saw 80 people.

Emergency preparedness training sessions covered topics such as electric and power supply issues and cold weather safety, with 37 people attending these events.
