Midland Independent School District (ISD) trustees are scheduled to convene on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. to review and vote on several significant construction projects associated with the district’s 2023 Bond Program.
According to documents presented by the design firm Parkhill, Midland ISD will consider approving a proposal for renovations and additions at Alamo Junior High School. Four proposals were submitted, with Tegrity Contractors, Inc. of Allen ranking highest. The contractor proposed a base bid of $31 million, which is slightly above the district’s construction cost limit of $29.4 million. District officials say they plan to enter negotiations to finalize a contract within budget using bond funds designated for middle school improvements.
Trustees will also review guaranteed maximum price #2 for the district’s two new high schools—Midland High and Midland Lee High—totaling $120 million for roofing, insulation, and HVAC systems. Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. and Lee Lewis Construction serve as the construction managers-at-risk for the two campuses. The combined total for the high school projects now stands at $672 million of the $841 million allocated under the 2023 bond.
The meeting agenda also includes reports on bond progress, district staffing updates, bilingual education programs, and school safety initiatives. The public meeting will be held at the MISD Administration Building, and full agenda details are available at Midland ISD BoardBook.
