The Midland Police Department is giving potential applicants an opportunity to take its civil service test on a weekday, providing an alternative to its regular Saturday sessions.

According to a Facebook post shared by the police department on Thursday, the test will be administered on February 11 at 9 a.m. at the MPD Range, located at 4214 FM 307. “Can’t make our Saturday testing days? We’ve got you covered,” the post said.

The department included a link in the post for individuals interested in applying and learning more about becoming an officer.

According to the department’s website, applicants must meet several criteria: they need to have at least a high school diploma or GED, be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid Texas driver’s license, and have no felony convictions. Additionally, they must fulfill all conditions required to obtain the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement basic peace officer certification.
