The Midland Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a man Saturday.
Authorities said officers responded to a call at 9:48 p.m. regarding an incident at Reyes-Mashburn Park in the 2100 block of East Cuthbert Ave., according to a Facebook post by the Midland Police Department.
Upon arrival, police found a male victim with gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Devon Nelson, was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later died. Next of kin was notified, police said according to the same Facebook post.
According to MPD, the suspect has yet to be identified according to the department’s Facebook post.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue their search for information related to the case.
