The Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry has announced that it will accept any leftover candy from Halloween.
The faith-based non-profit organization made this announcement in a November 1 Facebook post. Candy donations can be brought to its offices at 1401 Orchard Lane.
According to the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry (MSKM), the candy will be used to fill Christmas baggies that it plans to distribute next month. Anyone with questions or comments can contact the ministry at (432) 686-7687.
Donations are accepted from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Founded in 1984 by Mariano and Mary Rendon, the ministry began with meals prepared in their home kitchen and has grown into the largest free lunch service available for those in need in Midland.
