The Midland YMCA received a landscape donation for its Northwest facility from Keep Midland Beautiful.
The donation includes a set of trees that will line the side of the Northwest YMCA building facing Mockingbird Lane, according to a Facebook post by the YMCA. The facility is located at 5549 Avalon Dr. according to the post.
The YMCA said that the donation not only enhances the appearance of the property but also supports future expansion plans across its 25-acre site. “It’s partnerships like these that continue to strengthen our community and create lasting impact for generations to come. Thank you for investing in a greener, stronger, and more vibrant future for Midland,” the YMCA said according to its Facebook post.
Opened last fall, the Northwest YMCA is the second facility operated by the organization in Midland, joining its main location downtown at 800 N. Big Spring St. The Northwest branch operates from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturdays; it is closed on Sundays according to Midland Times.
