Midland Memorial Hospital has announced Grace Partlow as a recipient of Midland Health’s 2025 Daisy Nurse Leader Award.

According to the hospital, Partlow is employed in its emergency department. Raised in Midland and a graduate of Midland High School, she began her path towards a nursing career at Odessa College, where she earned an associate degree in nursing in 2016. She later studied at Chamberlain University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2022, and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in nursing.

An October 24 Facebook post shared by the hospital said that Partlow joined the emergency department after completing her studies at Odessa College. She has held various positions such as preceptor, clinical coder, chart auditor, and charge nurse. She is presently employed as the Emergency Department Education Coordinator in The Center for Advancing Professional Excellence.

“Grace’s commitment to mentorship and professional development is clear: she loves guiding new nurses through their journey to independence, just as others supported her,” said Midland Memorial Hospital (MMH).

The hospital added that Partlow’s clinical passion led her to earn Certified Emergency Nurse certification and become one of the hospital’s six Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.

“[It’s] a testament to her expertise, compassion, and dedication to patient care,” MMH said.

Two individuals nominated Partlow for the accolade, which honors nurses globally in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Barnes passed away at the age of 33 in 1999 from the autoimmune disease immune thrombocytopenia.
