The Midland RockHounds have announced that Momentum Bank Ballpark will host the First Responders Softball Tournament on the morning of November 1.
According to an October 20 Facebook post shared by the RockHounds, tickets for the tournament are available for $5. The post includes a link directing the public to where they can purchase the tickets.
The tournament will feature members from various departments, including the Midland Police Department (MPD), the Midland Fire Department (MFD), the Odessa Police Department (OPD), and the Odessa Fire Department (OFD).
The RockHounds said that “the two teams with the best records will play in a championship game to be hosted before the RockHounds’ matchup against the Corpus Christi Hooks on Sept. 11, 2026.”
Momentum Bank Ballpark’s gates will open at 8:30 a.m., with a home run derby scheduled to take place 30 minutes later.
West Texas Premix Pits and Sierra Valve & Equipment are presenting this event, which aims to benefit Special Olympics.
