A new state filing shows additional renovation work is planned at Midland Park Mall to further prepare space for the future J.Crew Factory store.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the project involves reconfiguring an existing suite at 4511 N. Midkiff Road. The filing details that the former Kirkland’s space, identified as Suite C25, will be re-demised to create a shell for J.Crew Factory in Suite C25B while also carving out an adjacent Suite C25C. The renovation covers approximately 4,799 square feet and is estimated to cost $168,000. Construction is scheduled to begin on February 10 and conclude by May 11. It should be noted that construction timelines in state filings are preliminary and subject to change.

Mall at Midland Park LLC, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, is listed as the property owner. Natalie Jett, the mall’s local contact and general manager, is leading the project. Estudio Architecture of Houston has been appointed as the design firm, with Rachael Elizabeth Block serving as the registered accessibility specialist.

In an earlier filing, plans outlined a full tenant finish-out for J.Crew Factory, indicating that the national retailer is moving closer to opening at the mall. These projects collectively represent ongoing efforts to reposition and subdivide existing retail space in order to attract new brands and maintain leasing momentum at Midland Park Mall.
