Permian Resources files $3.5M headquarters renovation

A leading independent oil and natural gas company has registered plans for a multimillion-dollar office renovation in downtown Midland, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The company, which operates in the oil and natural gas sector within the Permian Basin, is planning to renovate its existing eighth-floor office space at The Summit, located at 300 N. Marienfeld St., Suite 1000. State records show that the project will cover approximately 11,415 square feet and include the addition of a new breakroom as well as renovations to restrooms. Construction is scheduled to begin on March 9 with completion targeted for October 9. State filings are preliminary and subject to change, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The renovation is classified as an alteration of existing office space and will be privately funded by Permian Resources for private use. Cody Zatopek of Landy Perkins filed the project documentation. Dallas-based SHM Architects is listed as the design firm for the renovation, while Permian Resources Corporation LLC remains the owner of record at The Summit in central Midland. Vice President of Corporate Affairs Jonny Heins is listed as the company contact on the filing. According to Heins’ LinkedIn profile, he has been with Permian Resources since May 2023… Before joining the company, he worked with Jackson Walker LLP and served as a manager of real estate for ConocoPhillips.

The planned overhaul follows prior renovation work within The Summit building and continues ongoing updates to Permian Resources’ headquarters space in Midland’s business district.
