The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) has announced a new series of remote Listening Sessions to allow residents from across the state to share their views and ask questions about the agency’s work. The first session will take place virtually on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Central Standard Time.
Wei Wang, Executive Director of the RRC, said, “The remote Listening Sessions are an important opportunity for Texans to speak directly with us. We want to better understand the perspectives of those we serve, and these conversations help us listen, learn and lead with the best interest of Texans in mind.”
Organized by the Office of Public Engagement (OPE), these sessions will occur every other month and include a brief overview of the Commission’s regulatory responsibilities. Participants will then be able to comment and ask questions during a Q&A segment with RRC staff who are subject matter experts. Registration is required for both participation and commenting.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the RRC to increase public involvement in its activities. During this fiscal year, OPE staff visited 36 cities and attended 50 events, reaching more than 21,000 people through presentations and interactive outreach. The team also delivered 32 speeches and hosted 18 booths, some in partnership with other divisions within the agency.
Sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams with a dial-in option available for convenience.
