Congressman August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, held a town hall meeting in Brownwood to update constituents on his legislative activities and discuss the ongoing government shutdown. Pfluger replaced Mike Conaway as representative for the district in 2021.

During the event, Pfluger addressed attendees about current issues in Washington and answered questions from community members. He also recognized Brownwood Police Chief James Fuller for his service and recent appointment as chief. Fuller has previously served as interim police chief on four occasions and has a long background in law enforcement.

“I had an incredible time in Brownwood at our community town hall! It was an honor to meet with so many welcoming constituents and recognize Brownwood Police Chief James Fuller for his new position and years of service to the community of Brownwood,” said Congressman August Pfluger. “While the Democrats continue to hold our government hostage, I remain committed to ensuring everyone in TX-11 has access to the information and resources they need during this time. Thank you to everyone who attended the town hall to share your ideas, concerns, and feedback with me. Your input helps me better serve you in Congress. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office if you need assistance.”

Pfluger was elected to Congress after defeating Jon Mark Hogg in 2020 with nearly 80% of the vote.
