The Midland RockHounds have opened the application process for their 2026 scholarship.
The program is aimed at supporting high school seniors in the Midland and Odessa area who are graduating in spring 2026 and planning to enroll in college that fall. The ballclub said the window opened Friday and invited eligible students to apply. “We are proud to support the next generation of our community,” the RockHounds said, according to a Facebook post.
The Double-A Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Athletics organization is offering a non-renewable scholarship of $1,000 for one academic year. To qualify, applicants must be current public or private high school seniors graduating in spring 2026 and intending to enroll in college in fall 2026, according to the club’s Facebook post.
All sections of the application must be completed. Completed applications can be submitted in a sealed envelope either by bringing them to the RockHounds’ offices during normal business hours or by mailing them to RockHounds Scholarship Program, Attention: Jonathan Simmons, 5514 Champions Drive, Midland, TX 79706. The team has encouraged local students meeting eligibility requirements to submit their applications before any said deadlines.
