West Texas FC re-signed its second returnee from the 2025 club in Ryan Mrvcic.
The announcement was made in a Facebook post by West Texas FC. Mrvcic, a native of Sydney, Australia, is listed as a defender. According to the club, his return is seen as an important step in building on last season’s achievements.
Head coach Scotty Murray described Mrvcic as “a hugely important figure in the backline” last season. “Ryan made the left back position his own (…) A technically gifted player, work horse, and complete professional. His re-signing for the 2026 campaign is very important for us as we look to continue building on last season’s success,” Murray said.
Mrvcic joined West Texas FC from Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania, where he helped lead the Lakers to a Northeast Conference regular-season championship in 2024. As reported by the club’s Facebook page, he previously attended Endeavor Sports High School in Sydney and earned Men’s Player of the Year honors there.
The club has not released further details about contract terms or additional roster moves at this time.
