Senator Kevin Sparks, a Republican representing Texas’s 31st Senate district since 2023, shared several posts on social media expressing his faith and support for a political candidate.
On November 5, 2025, Sparks posted a Bible verse: “For we live by faith, not by sight. — 2 Corinthians 5:7”. Later that same day, he publicly endorsed a candidate for state office: “I proudly support @natesheetsforTX Texas Agriculture Commissioner. Nate Sheets is a great man of faith and I am confident he will bring a fresh, conservative voice to our farmers and ranchers here in Texas. #txlege https://t.co/gKTm96Gt8s”.
The following day, November 6, 2025, Sparks continued to share scripture with another post: “The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life. — Psalm 121:7”.
Sparks was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2023 after replacing Kel Seliger as the representative for the state’s 31st district.
