West Texas FC acquired English midfielder Zach Garcia Monday, the club announced.
Garcia joins West Texas FC on loan from the Tiffin University men’s soccer program. A native of London, England, Garcia is a junior education major and recently helped the Dragons secure their third consecutive Greater Midwest Athletic Conference regular season championship, according to a Facebook post by WTFC.
As Tiffin’s team captain, Garcia started in 57 out of 60 matches over three seasons in which the Dragons posted an overall 41-11-9 record. He also gained experience at the semiprofessional level playing for Appalachian FC during the National Premier Soccer League’s 2025 campaign. “One of the highest rated midfielders in the country,” WTFC saidon Facebook.
According to head coach Scotty Murray, Garcia is his ideal midfielder. “He’s exactly what I’m looking for in a midfielder to come in and make an immediate impact. He’s the kind of guy every coach wants in their locker room and I’m buzzing for him to link up with an already stacked midfield unit,” Murray said on Facebook.
The club has not released further details regarding contract terms or expected debut dates.
