West Texas FC added New York forward Jackson Gould to the 2026 roster Monday.

The signing brings in a player with experience at the Division I collegiate level. The club said that Gould comes from Stony Brook University, where he is a senior sociology major and a member of the Seawolves men’s soccer team, according to a Facebook post.

WTFC said that Gould brings an “impressive” Division I resume with him. In 2025, he led the Seawolves to a 9-5-5 overall record and a Coastal Athletic Association championship appearance. Gould was also a student-athlete at St. John’s University, where he was selected to the Big East All-Tournament 1st Team representing the Red Storm. “A powerful forward, a clinical finisher and a player who carries himself to the highest standard is joining West Texas FC this summer and we couldn’t be more excited to see the impact he makes… He wins wherever he goes. This summer will be no different for the New York forward,” WTFC said according to Facebook.

Head coach Scotty Murray has high expectations for Gould, according to the club. “Jackson brings all the elite level attributes to be a massive impact player in USL2… He’s strong, plays with high IQ and is clinical in front of the goal. Jackson is a brilliant, experienced player to add to the roster this summer,” Murray said according to Facebook.
